Buddying

Zone Central’s buddying service offers bespoke tailor-made packages of support which enable a cared for individual to access all the opportunities and activities they may not otherwise experience outside of home and school.

We achieve this through planned sessions designed to facilitate leisure and play.

The aims of our buddying service are to improve the quality of life and well-being of the carers, while also providing meaningful, positive experiences for young people with additional needs.

We provide Buddying services with dedicated mentors for young people and children aged between 4 and 18 years with autism spectrum diagnoses, learning disabilities, associated challenging behaviours, physical needs and additional diagnoses.

Our Buddies are dedicated to helping expand interests and enabling young people to explore new social opportunities.

Family Support

At Zone Central we know that the best support for others may not be what is right for your family. Therefore, we have developed a specialised tailor-made service to meet the needs of an individual and their support network.

We offer personalised in-house care for children and young people aged 0-17 with complex health needs, autism and learning difficulties.

Our dedicated team at Zone Central believe in providing continuity of support within the familial home and are highly trained and passionate in meeting the needs and enhancing the quality of life experiences of children and young people.

Sleepover

Zone Central are proud to offer short stay respite services for children and young people aged 5-18. We provide this support service for children and young people with autism, learning difficulties and complex diagnoses and needs.

Sleepover @ Zone Central is a purpose built home away from home, providing support for those families who need it most.

We aim to provide outstanding support to strengthen the role of the carer and to provide experiences for children and young people that may not have been available otherwise.

Our Sleepover service is a great chance for young people to develop new and existing interests, learn new skills, improve their independence, and meet their goals and outcomes in a nurturing environment.

Holidays

Zone Central offer amazing opportunities for children and young people with autism and additional needs to go on holiday.

Zone Central is dedicated to outstanding support. We create bespoke holidays in Devon and Wiltshire for young people and children aged 5-18 where they can spend days doing activities.

We know that caring for those young people with complex additional needs is rewarding but can be difficult.

Zone Central provides support for those who care for others by giving them well deserved recuperation time, while they are safe in the knowledge their children and young people are busy making memories and having fun!

The Disabled Children’s Partnership’s national survey found that 53% of family carers say they don’t take a family holiday as a result of providing care to their disabled child and 80% have had to give up leisure time due to their caring responsibilities.

The young people who holiday with us will benefit from beautiful surroundings and fun meaningful activities planned by our dedicated and highly trained team.

Some of the great opportunities offered include:

  • Trips to the farm
  • Days out at the beach
  • Woodland walks
  • Cooking
  • Picnics
  • Arts and Crafts
  • Park play
